Our web design process, from first call to launch.
We follow the same structured web design process on every project. Not because it's rigid, but because it works: projects stay on time, on budget, and aligned with what you actually need rather than what we assumed at the start. If you've been wondering how to work with a web design agency without losing control of your project, this is the answer. Every step is visible to you and every deliverable is yours to keep.
Our Process
Your web design project in 10 clear steps.
Every project follows the same structured path. Here is what each stage involves, what we deliver, and what you can expect along the way.
Strategy call
A 30-minute conversation about your organization, your goals, and what is getting in the way. If you have an existing site, we talk about what's working and what isn't. We ask the questions most agencies skip, because the answers determine everything that follows. You leave with a clear sense of whether we are the right fit and a realistic picture of what a project would involve.
Quote
Based on what we heard on the call, we provide a ballpark price range so you know early whether the project is viable. This is not a binding scope or a final number. It's a realistic starting point that respects your time and ours before either side commits further.
Paid discovery
We conduct a thorough review of your market, your competitors, your audience, and your content. If you have an existing site, we audit its performance, structure, and SEO. If you are starting from scratch, we research your industry landscape and define what your site needs to achieve. We identify what to build, what to prioritize, and what to leave out.
Proposal of Services
With discovery complete, we put together a detailed Proposal of Services covering exactly what we will do, in what order, on what timeline, and at what fixed price. No hourly billing, no open-ended scopes, no estimates that turn into something else once the project is underway. This proposal is informed by real findings, not assumptions.
Strategy
We agree on a site structure, content architecture, and SEO strategy before any design work begins. The design serves a clear purpose rather than being assembled intuitively. Every structural decision is documented and shared with you.
Design
We present design concepts developed from your brief and your discovery findings, not from a template library. We work through feedback rounds until the design is genuinely right, not “good enough” but the best expression of what your site needs to be. You are not approving designs; you are collaborating on them.
Development
We build the approved design on the agreed platform: WordPress, Webflow, Framer, or Duda for websites, WordPress or Shopify for e-commerce, and WordPress, LearnWorlds or Moodle for learning management systems. Every build includes on-page SEO across all pages, performance optimization, structured data markup, and thorough cross-device and cross-browser testing.
Staging and review
You review the complete site in a staging environment before anything goes live. We address final feedback systematically, then launch carefully: setting up redirects from old URLs, submitting the sitemap, configuring Google Search Console, and monitoring for any issues in the first 48 hours after launch.
Handover
You receive full documentation covering how the site is built, what the hosting and maintenance setup is, and who to contact if something needs attention. WordPress clients also receive a WordPress Owner Manual for day-to-day reference. Most clients choose to keep us on a maintenance plan so updates, edits, and technical changes are handled correctly from the start.
Ongoing
Most clients continue working with us after launch on maintenance plans, SEO retainers, or ongoing optimization and development. The relationship tends to deepen over time as we learn more about your business and can make increasingly well-informed recommendations. But the handover is structured so you have everything you need whether you continue with us or not.
